The Peach and the Coconut Part 4 - Grace and Truth
Jesus was described by the apostle John as being full of
grace and truth. Its so easy to be full of truth become
legalistic, or full of grace become sentimental, but being a

community not only changes how we treat broken people from outside
our community, but also how we treat people within the community
when they mess up. We must be a church of the second chance.

The Peach and the Coconut Part 3 - A Peachy Approach to Sex
Today Simon continues our Peach and Coconut series stating
that how we deal with the issue of sex is one of the key
differentiators between a peach and a coconut community. He takes a
look at how Jesus dealt with prostitutes and people 'living in
sin', and contrasts that with how they were treated by the
Pharisees. Then he considers how we reconcile God's standards when
it comes to sexual morality with Jesus' apparent willingness to be
around people who didn't have it all sorted.

Justice. This morning he talks about Human Trafficking, a
$40Bn/year industry. He highlights the need for justice, which is
the administering of deserved punishment or reward, the principle
or ideal of just dealings or right actions, the right use of power
and authority. We need a spirit of ownership, to be devoted
to act in order for us to shape society for good. He shows 2 videos
that are available under the sermons pages of the Kerith
website.

Starting the Year Well
On the first Sunday of the New Year, Ben Oliver reads 1
Timothy 4:7-8 "...but train yourself to be godly. For physical
training is of some value, but godliness has value for all
things...". What does it mean to train yourself to be godly? And
why do it? Using the theme of the gym, Ben answers those questions
as well as covering a few key spiritual health fitness
exercises to help us start 2011 in great shape.

Always Pray. Dont Give Up
An exploration of the parable that Jesus taught about
persistent prayer. Three characters: A widow, an adversary and an
unjust judge. How is the situation resolved? How should I act? What
is the faith aspect of prayer that Jesus says he looks for? What
six word prayer do you need to say today?

Persistently Praying for Others
There is such power in prayer! Prayer is the foundation of
our walk with God, prayer is at the bottom of all kinds of
situations that are hard to face, and especially situations where
we want to see others coming into a knowledge of God, so God calls
us to pray persistently for everyone!

The Old Testament Part 5 - Malachi
Today Simon continues our Old Testament series looking at
Malachi 1:6-14, where the people were encouraged to "bring their
best lamb" as a sacrifice. He looks at 4 areas where this applies
to us - our buildings, our giving, our worship and our serving. The
proposed building plans are available under the sermon pages on the

The Old Testament Part 15 - Balaam And The Donkey
Balaam had the extraordinary privilege of having God speak to
him directly, and yet he chose not to listen to God. Balaam found
that earthly riches were more important. We all have this inner
conflict that rages inside of us, we have two people that are
trying to make decisions. These two are at war with one another.
One that leads to eternal damnation, and the other that leads to
eternal salvation. We must choose which one of these we want to
lead in our lives, because there is not space for both of
them.

The Old Testament Part 15 - God Is Big Enough
Staring into space can change our perspective on life. Both
David (in Psalm 8) and Isaiah (40:26-31) tried to grasp the
magnitude of God by doing just that, and realised how valuable we
are to Him and just how much He loves us. Whatever we're facing,
God is big enough.

Jonah's Journey
God called Jonah to Nineveh but before he got there he went

repentance to God. Then only after he preached to Nineveh, did
Jonah's journey end when he ran into God. Whilst Jonah journeyed -

The Old Testament Part 21 - Why Did Abraham Pray?
God speaks to Abraham "you will be the father of nations".
One problem is he has no heir. Abraham pleads with an inevitability
mindset that a maid's son Ishmael might be the heir-but the stakes
are high. The yet to be born promised son Isaac is the forerunner
of Jesus. God's mind is set.

The Father Heart of God
Tonight our speaker is our friend Canon Andrew White, the
Vicar of Baghdad. He reads from Romans 8 and talks about our need
to know the father heart of God. We need to know what it is to have
God as our Father and us being sons of God. We should revere and
respect God, listening to Him and doing what He says.

How He Loves Us
Sola Osinoiki and Charlee Buzzard preach today on the love
that Jesus has for us all. Using John 11:1-5 as their text they
look at the life of Lazarus and his sisters Mary and Martha and how
Jesus showed his love to them. This they say is a signpost for us
in the church to day to understand How Jesus loves us all. During
the talk, part of a video of Kim Walker is shown. If you would like

Heart and Soul
When God calls you to adventure, how do you react? Jonathan's
armour-bearer was with him 'heart and soul' (1 Samuel 14), and we
are called to do the same when we follow Jesus. Let's ensure we are
committed and involved in God's adventures, from the very core of
our being, with all our heart and all our soul.

Simple Obedience
The Christmas story is filled with people who listen to God.
One of these people is Mary, who listens to God, and obeys him
despite the costs. She also does it with a serving heart. We read
about her immediate acceptance of Gods plan in Luke when Angel
Gabriel brings her a very important message. Obeying God seems so
easy in principle but putting obedience into action is often much
harder. So how can we be like Mary in our obedience to God?

What God has Spoken, Let it be True
God speaks to you! Even if you dont know it! But when it
comes down to us obeying God, some of us can shy away and not
really act upon His will. In Luke, Mary is a perfect example of
obedience to Gods will by the way she takes up the response of may
everything you have said about me come true! She is faced with
abandonment but instead of shying away from what God has said, she
obeys his will without looking at what could go wrong. Are you
willing to sacrifice everything, regardless of the outcome?

The Brain Coaching Program is Live!
Folks really identify with the idea of "cycling in and out
the freeze and crisis modes". I know how it is - I lived that way
almost all my life until I was pointed in the right direction. I
explain all about it in my movies, "It's an Inside Job Part I
II" (catch them for free while I still have them up). I can't tell
you how much it has meant to have my life back...to finally feel
like "myself". And as time goes on and I continue to grow, it just
get's better. That's why I feel so confident about offering my
Brain Coaching Program (BCP). It outlines all the steps you need to
take to restore your nervous system to health, to manage stress and
your emotions in a balanced, natural way. The BCP is totally unlike
anything you've seen before. The principles discussed in the
Program are based on cutting-edge neuroscience. Their effective
application in hundreds of hours of clinical practice is leading
more and more therapists to adopt them as the basis of their
practice. Why? Because it's a faster, more effective way to change
ourselves. I'm opening the doors of my Brain Coaching Program for a
limited time only. That's because some features of the Program are
time-sensitive. So, if you think you might be interested - or even
just a little curious, check it out here. It's literally a
guaranteed No-Risk proposition.

Can we learn from childhood emotional meltdowns?
You may have heard that everything we need to know in life is
learned in kindergarten. And it's true. We can learn a lot about
ourselves and what we need from the mouths of babes. Be kind.
Listen. Play fair. However, there's much more and it has to do with

many ways as we enter into adulthood. I invite you to listen deeply
into my conversation with Kathy. Our youngest teachers illustrate

Psychotherapy not going deep enough?
You know, if you've been working on an emotional issue for
what seems like eons and there's no end in sight, you migt consider
what holistic massage therapy can do for you. I've been using body
work to complement to my therapy for years, and I can't imagine
doing without it. Because of the way the brain develops and the way
our emotions are wired in the first few years of life, it's
sometimes hard to get "deep" enough in therapy. This is
particularly the case with what are ordinarily called "talk
therapies". So I always recommend that clients consider body work.
I've seen clients get some amazing results in their therapy work
using an holistic approach such as this. A while back I had the
chance to interview Erika Moore who offers a mind body and holistic
approach to massage therapy. Listen in as I interview Erika Moore

Considering family therapy?
Juggling the "air-time" needs of three or four people in a
consultation room was certainly a daunting task for me during my
early training in family therapy. So much so, I decided I wasn't
cut out for it. And since that time, I have always been a little in
awe of family therapists. Corinne Scholtz MFT, one of our
contributing authors, is an enthusiastic family therapist. And
she's ready to jump in and answer your questions. She recently
posted a couple more replies that illustrate how family therapists
view the issues that bring families to therapy. It's so
interesting. Family therapists have such a unique perspective on
presenting problems. I can certainly appreciate why they feel their
systemic model could equally be applied to understanding
organizational dynamics. But I'll let you decide.

presenting problems. I can certainly appreciate why they feel their
systemic model could equally be applied to understanding
organizational dynamics. But I'll let you decide.
Having an emotional meltdown?
If you've ever been a student - and most of us have been -
you've probably encountered this problem. You've got papers to
write or exams to complete and your mind just isn't "with the
program". You literally can't put two thoughts together,
everthing's overwhelming and doing the laundry feels like a duty of
epic proportion. It could be a relationship problem, a family issue
or a crisis in self-esteem. You feel like you're unravelling at the
core...and you can't fathom an end in sight. Here's how counseling
can help ease off the torment of an emotional meltdown in ways
you've possibly never considered. In fact, most people totally
underestimate the value of how counseling sharpens the brain and
soothes the soul.

Were you dumped by your therapist?
Therapists have a duty to avoid abandoning their clients.
When I read Harold's story, I was aghast by the heartless treatment
he received. Disappearing therapists are a no go!
Countertransference is part of the therapy business. It is up to
the therapist to make sure that their own issues do not interfere
with the client's work. The tragedy is that this can be a bit of a
slippery slope. Some therapists are overinvested in their
"expertise" :-( The good news is that others are skilled at
checking in around the impact of their words and how things are
going for you in the session. In this case, everything is up for
conversation. Sadly, clients tend to make it all about themselves
rather than the therapist's own stuff (We're actually wired for
this survival pattern.). Personalizing puts them at further risk of
relapse or recycling old patterns aka triggers. Ironically, that's
what often brings us to therapy...we have a hard time advocating
for ourselves.

Hugs in Therapy?
It's been my experience that no subject strikes more fear in
therapists' minds than the idea of physical contact in
psychotherapy. Sadly, few therapists are even familiar with the
concept of therapeutic touch. There's virtually no standard
training and the guidelines that exist are so intimidating that
they easily discourage most therapists who would otherwise consider
using touch therapeutically. And what does therapeutic touch
entail? Everyone imagines the worse. Is it shaking hands? Giving a
routine hug at the end of a session? Is it a gentle holding during
an intense emotional episode? Yet, neuroscience reveals that the
development of our lifelong emotional patterning is deeply impacted
by physical contact in our earliest years. Can we change
fundamental aspects of our emotions without the use of touch?
Should therapists be trained in the use of touch? Will the day come
when it'd be unethical not to be so trained? Join the conversation.

Market Segmentation, Targeting, and Positioning for competitive advantage
Today most companies are moving away from mass marketing.
Instead, they practice target marketing-identifying market
segments, selecting one or more of them, and developing products
and marketing mixes tailored to each. - Market Segmentation:
deciding a market up into distinct groups of buyers with different
needs characterises, or behaviours who might require separate
products or marketing
